The latest co-production by Daring House, “Mafia is not what it used to be” (“La Mafia non è più quella di una volta”) by Franco Maresco, has been selected for the Official Competition of the Venice Film Festival.
We are proud to be part of this adventure and look forward to screening the film in the most beautiful city in the world.
The film is a personal and satirical portrait of the state of mafia in Sicily, suspended between melancholy and absurdity. “Mafia is not what it used to be” marks the second collaboration between Maresco and Daring House after “Belluscone – Why the Italians love Berlusconi” in 2014.
Daring House would like to thank director Maresco, producer Rean Duilio Mazzone for the outstanding achievement; and festival director Alberto Barbera for his precious consideration.
